Are you a fan of point & click adventures? How about gritty, post-apocalyptic worlds filled with robots? If yes, then Primordia is one of the games you should definitely check out!

It was developed by Wormwood Studios, a global team of three people, Mark Yohalem (American), Victor Pflug (Australian) and James Spanos (Greek), first as a small project that quickly became a much larger thing.

The story follows Horatio Nullbuilt, a robot that lives in a fallen airship in the wasteland. Alongside him is Crispin Horatiobuilt, a floating robot created by Horatio, who acts as his support and witty commentator. One day, a big robot comes into their ship and steals the main power source, forcing them to hunt him down.

From a gameplay standpoint, Primordia is a textbook point & click adventure game. You hunt available regions for useful items that can be used to solve puzzles that will further the plot, while slowly you find out what happened in this world and what the current status quo is.

The art style is a wonder by itself, one of the main reasons this game has been in my radar for so long. The art gives 100% the dystopian vibe that the world has, along with the weird and sometimes comedic aspect of the robot characters you’ll find throughout the game.

Alongside this, the music also does a tremendous job of giving this world a gritty, but at the same time a brand new look, like the end of a thing is the beginning of another, can’t explain it better than that. And all the voice actors do a stellar job across the whole experience.

All in all, Primordia is a hell of an adventure game that I believe every fan of the genre, or a fan of weird post-apocalyptic world-builds should definitely experience. And if you’ve already played it but would like an extra fix, there is a short story based in the universe out there, in both written and audio format!
