Do you like platform shooter games with lots of secrets and unlockables? How about stories that parody known franchises and themes? If yes, then Alien Scumbags is a game for you.

It was developed by Monster Finger Games, a small indie dev from the UK.

The story of Alien Scumbags is really straightforward. The spaceship Nostrami has been overwhelmed by aliens and there’s only one person who is skilled enough to save it. Master Chef! Yeap, you heard that right! And he looks like the Doom Guy.

Gameplay wise, Alien Scumbags is a classic platform shooter. You walk/run and shoot to everything you see. You have a basic weapon with unlimited ammo that can be upgraded, but it is weak, and you can unlock more as you find them around the stages. These weapons range from powerful shotguns and grenade launchers to laser pistols!

Another thing worth noting, are the collectibles. Those belong on different categories, like coins, audio logs and even unlock new characters out of a pretty wide and unique roster. Those are hidden behind crates, require precise jumping or some other environmental things and provide extra challenge for those completionists that seek it.

All in all, Alien Scumbags is a fun game that you can pass several entertaining hours with and can get for a low price (~6 EUR). Check it out!
